The Field

From her position as receiver, the girl looks around, waiting for that one word- "Hike!" She runs, turning back to see the quarterback staring straight at her, about to throw. Please, God, she thinks. Grant me this one catch. She runs, trying to place herself under it. At nearly the point of impact, she closes her eyes and stretches out her hands, surprised when she feel the softness of the ball instead of air. With a gasp of childish delight, she opens her eyes and looks. In her hands is the football. "Run! Run!" They yell. She runs. They could've tagged her a bit earlier, she knows. But they let her run a few feet first. Then, when she sets down the ball, everyone on her team says "Well done! Good catch!" She feels like a hero. It was the last play, so no other points- but what a last play it was!

A Forward, of sorts

Kiyoko Matsuoka here, creator of "A Little Corner of the Universe", aka, universecorner.blogspot.com . The other day, I wrote a day in the life of Kiyo- an outsiders veiw. I really liked how it turned out, so now I'll have a second blog, simply to detail events I would otherwise have little to talk about of. Before you ask- yes, the girl chronicled here IS me, and yes, these are all true stories. Fiction goes on fictionpress or fanfiction- real stories go on blogs. Get it? Good.
